Finding Larks is the illustration studio of Karen Dubrovsky, a storyteller and creative at heart. An architect turned artist and writer, Karen is pursuing her MFA in Printmaking at MassArt, but her work has always been kid-centered, from learning materials to app interfaces for child-focused brands, including the little coding robots at Root Robotics.

At home in the greater Boston area, three daughters inspire nearly everything she writes and draws. Her picture book Rub: The Story of an Angry Eraser started as her daughter's kindergarten publish-your-own-book kit, about an eraser who erased his friends when he got mad. Karen took that furious little eraser and ran with it, all the way to becoming a 2026 finalist in the Picture Book Party contest.

As a member of SCBWI New England, Karen is passionate about stories and the imagery that brings them to life.
